Ramakrishnan Iyer

I have spent 22 years working at the intersection of data science, applied research, and workforce analytics. My early career was in academic research — neural network modelling at IISc — before I moved into industry, building predictive hiring models for two of India's largest staffing firms. At Jobdha, I lead the Research & Science practice, reviewing market reports on data scientist, research analyst, and R&D roles. I also look at how emerging fields like climate science and biotechnology are creating new talent corridors across Tier-2 cities. Outside work, I am a serious birdwatcher — over 400 species logged — and I write occasionally for science magazines.
