26 years in human resources and labour relations. I started in the personnel department of a steel plant in Jamshedpur — dealing with unions, wage negotiations, the works. Then I moved into corporate HR at an IT services firm, and later ran the HR practice at a recruitment consultancy. At Jobdha, I cover Human Resources — reviewing reports on HR executives, recruiters, talent acquisition specialists, payroll managers, and L&D roles. What I find most interesting right now is how HR is splitting into two tracks — the people-and-culture side versus the compliance-and-payroll tech side. I am a long-distance cyclist (completed the Manali-Leh route twice) and I read a lot of labour sociology.
